HEALTH PROGRAM

There is no denying fact that Bangladesh has very recently made significant progress in the health, nutrition, and population sector. In spite of that, there is no room for complacency. Because the country is still going a long way to reach the expected level. From the perspective of the twenty-first century, it is too true in the case of the whole scenario of Health Services provided by the Government as well as no government organizations. Samajik Seba Shonghothon recognizes well health as a basic need of every citizen. Acute health need is a significant factor pushing especially the rural poor into the poverty circle. As a part of its, commitment to comprehensive socio-economic development Samajik Seba Shonghothon has been providing preventive and curative health and nutrition services since 1998 to the doorstep of the people. Samajik Seba Shonghothon has been providing the following health services to the poor, such as:

• Its 15 medical staff visits rural people’s home and collect data about their health problems. If they found in critical problem then they inform a medical assistant of the Samajik Seba Shonghothon. A medical assistant takes the necessary steps for treatment.
• Samajik Seba Shonghothon arranges a static clinic in a specific area where 2 medical assistants service from 2 PM to 5 PM every day. In the financial year 2021-21, Samajik Seba Shonghothon has arranged 277 static clinics and served 7456 patients.
• Samajik Seba Shonghothon arranges Satellite Clinic by MBBS Doctor. Where poor people can take free medical services. In the financial year 2021-21, Samajik Seba Shonghothon has arranged 65 satellite clinics and served 2301 patients.
• Free Cataract Surgery: In the financial year 2021-22, Samajik Seba Shonghothon has done 47 eye patients’ free cataract surgery.
• Free Medicine Distribution: In the financial year 2021-22 Samajik Seba Shonghothon distributed the following medicine:
