Structure of the Organization

 

Samajik Seba Shonghothon is a democratic organization and it believes in the democratic system so that there is a general council consisting of 23 (Twenty three) members and it is the supreme authority of the organization, out of this council a 7 (Seven) Nos. of Executive council has been formed through the election for two years. This Executive council has been authorized to implement the program by the expert and experienced staff headed by the Executive Director who is responsible in all respect to achieve the goal of the organization, the advisory council consists of 3 (Three) members headed by the chief advisor who is an honorable, highly qualified and experienced person has been appointed by the general council of the organization with a view to providing advisories to the board of the directors for the greater interest of the organization. The following is the structure of the organization.

A.  General Council: The general council is the top management decision-making body of the organization and it executes the Executive committee for implementing the programs and properly the activities of the organization.

B. Executive Council: The total member of the executive committee is 7 (Seven) who have been elected for 2 (Two) years by the general council members and it is responsible for maintaining the activities of the organization as well as providing services for social welfare programs and control the staff of the organization headed by the executive director. The Executive Director is responsible for overall administrator and program implementation including keeping contact with government and non-government agencies and donors. To discharge his duties, he is assisted by program professionals who have considerable experience in the field of rural development.

Five meetings of the Executive Council were held during the year important policy matters visit issues and problems related to the Samajik Seba Shonghothon’s current and future programs were discussed. The Executive Council reviewed Samajik Seba Shonghothon’s operation’s provided guidelines and direction to make it effective and dynamic in the future.

C. Advisory Council: The total member of the advisory council is 3 (Three) headed by a chief advisor who gives advice from time to time to the executive committee to perform the job and to implement the relevant programs.

D. Goals: To ensure sustainable increases are achieved in the living standard of the rural poor and to ensure the rural poor possess and apply necessary skills, understanding, confidence, institutions, and services.

E. Development Aims: To build up self-reliance on economic, and social independence, and quality of landless and ultra-poor people with a view to establishing better life and improving the social economic condition of the rural helpless community people.
