Vision that’s Aims of the organization:
To establish better life through Equality, Justice, Peaceful Society, and Dignity and improve the socio-economic condition of the community people.
The mission of the organization:
To improve the living standard and ensure the quality of life for all the community people through Justice, Equality, Gender awareness Democracy, and empowerment building.
The objective of the Organization:
The main objective of the Organization is to alleviate poverty through improving self-development and capacity building of the poor people for increasing their Socio-Economic condition and to achieve the following goals:
Development Philosophy:
The development philosophy of the organization is based on the conviction that the paramount need of the people is no relief but release the way to develop their potentialities for personal, social, economic, and educational growth and development. It believes that man is the center of all development activities. It aspires for a society free from starvation, oppression, and exploitation, where every individual will be able to live in peace and harmony and able to enjoy the rightful share of the resource belonging to the society.
Working strategy:
Samajik Seba Shonghothon believes in a process-oriented development approach rather than a task-oriented one for making the program people-oriented and sustainable. It stresses non-directive bottom-up and participatory approaches in its working strategy. It first organizes underprivileged people into homogenous groups through motivation and education. Secondly, it facilitates in initiative economic activities for regular supplementary income to alleviate poverty through active involvement and participation.
Management System:
Samajik Seba Shonghothon is an association of community people who have come together to assist the people of the least developed area in Bangladesh.
It is also managed by 07 members Executive Committee. The Executive Committee meets quarterly meetings and its main role is to approve policy, budget, and activities based on proposals from management and to monitor performance.

Formation of Group:
Group formation, raising savings funds, and social consciousness-raising is perceived as the prerequisite factors for ensuring people’s participation in the development process and leading the program towards sustainability through human resource development and joint venture. It is one of the important components of development works.
Before organizing the distressed and powerless people are selected through personal contact, home visit, and observation after baseline family is conducted by the program staff through the prescribed questionnaire for finding out their problems and need assessment.
The said survey is helpful to ascertain the initial status of the beneficiaries. After that intensive motivation is imparted to the selected people about the importance of group formation in their life and livelihood. After motivation, group formation and activities techniques are imparted for group dynamism.
Group Management:
The organized group has regular meetings, raising savings funds,s and problem-solving education and discussion. Each organized group possesses a resolution book, savings book, and By-laws. Each group member holds a passbook against his/her personal savings. Group activities are being conducted in accordance with the By-laws. Group savings are being deposited in the bank account, which is being operated by a joint signatory, and against their personal savings, they are getting interested as are bank rates. Field organizers regularly meet with the groups at the group meeting for social consciousness-raising, leadership development and exercising participatory values, and maintenance of accounts and records. Field organizers also facilitate them in routine wise issue-based discussions of women’s rights, Children’s rights, environmental up-gradation, Food security, Nutritional improvement, Democratic education, and others for raising their social consciousness and unable to find out the root cause of poverty and exploitation along with the mode of overcoming the said for their own benefits. Field organizers submit their weekly and monthly reports to the Executive Director for information and necessary action.
Training program:
Training is a part of capacity building and empowerment for Socio-Economic upliftment through human resource development. It is a process of mutual sharing and learning. It assists in enhancing the creativity of the trainees along with increasing their potential, knowledge, and skills. Training is an important component of the development process for capacity building of the program staff, in light of the above, it imparted training in three steps.
Capacity building for program staff:
Program staff of Samajik Seba Shonghothon has been trained efficiently on trainer’s training, national leadership development, staff management, and field management, agriculture development, homestead and forestation, vegetable gardening, fish culture, milky cow rearing, disabled rehabilitation, supervision, social analysis and development, organization management, management of functional education, account maintenance and management, disaster management, gender relation, savings, and credit management, Management of credit disbursement and recovery policy, Management of non-government organization development, etc.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and accountability:
The concerned person of the SamajikSeba Shonghothon closely monitors the project activities. A monitoring system including instruments to monitor, supervise and provide necessary Samajik Seba Shonghothon support for each project component/activity has been developed and is being practiced. The performances are usually compared against the plan and budget prepared annually at the beginning of the year as well as among the implementing staff. In monthly review meeting the board of management discusses and reviews the performances. Special evaluation studies are also undertaken to assess quantitative and qualitative.
It believes in accountability, transparency, and good governance. A standard accounting system is in practice in the organization, the external audit farm audited the financial performances and accounts yearly basis.
